While triglyceride levels did not seem to be affected, the overall association between garlic consumption and improved glucose and lipid levels suggests that garlic could be a valuable addition to one’s diet.

It is believed that the active ingredients in garlic, including antioxidants like alliin, play a role in reducing oxidative stress and managing blood glucose and lipid levels.
